Christmas 2026

This Christmas, give someone the chance to be properly listened to.

Three ways to give a story. From an hour and a half for you or someone you love, to your mum or dad's whole life, in their own voice.

Every Christmas we buy for the person who says "don't fuss, I've got everything".

A jumper. A bottle. Another book.

What they haven't got is someone sitting with them for an extended period, asking them questions about their life either right now, or for the last 70 years, and listening deeply.

Then producing it into something joyful, poignant, meaningful to savour.

Now THAT is a gift.

And it's what I do.

No more earrings.
No more whisky.
No cashmere.

Just connection.

Neil

The three ways

Pick your gift.

A Snapshot

£279

The story of their life right now, in their voice. For yourself, for the friend who’s been in your corner, your other half, a sibling.

  • A short reflection guide first, so they don't arrive with “erm, work's been busy”
  • An hour and a half interview, with me online, about their life as it is right now
  • About an hour of edited audio, back to them within 7 days
  • Add the video for £50

A gift card in your inbox to print or forward. They book any time in 2027.

How a gift works

01

You choose and pay.

02

The gift card lands in your inbox, ready to print, wrap or forward.

03

They pick a date that suits them, any time in 2027.

04

Within 7 days of recording, it's theirs to keep.

Christmas places: I'm recording 20 Snapshots before Christmas. After that, gift cards book from January.

Near the end of every Snapshot, I ask: who's been in your corner this year?

There's always a pause. Then a name.

If a name came to mind just now, that's who this is for.

Questions

Is it therapy or coaching?

No. Nothing to fix, no homework. Just space, and their stories.

What if they don't know what to say?

That's most people at the start. The reflection guide sorts that out, then I do the asking.

Do they need to be good with technology?

If they can join a video call, they're set. I send everything they need.

Will it arrive for Christmas Day?

The gift card arrives straight away. The recording happens when it suits them.

What if it doesn't feel worth it?

Tell me within 7 days of getting your Snapshot and I'll refund you in full. The documentary has its own guarantee: if after the first session you don't feel we've captured something meaningful, a full refund, same day.

Can a Snapshot lead to the full documentary?

Yes. If it gets you thinking about your mum or dad, what you paid comes off their documentary when you book within 12 months.

What are we, if not a collection of stories?

And what a shame it would be to let them slip by.
